MOUNT JOY, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man was arrested after police said he shared child pornography from a home computer.
Eugene Richard Hess III, 28, of Mount Joy, was arraigned Tuesday on three felony counts of possession of child pornography, according to state police in Lancaster.
Members of the State Police Computer Crime Unit determined last year that Hess was sharing the images over the Internet, and on Jan. 6 troopers seized his computer and cell phone, police said in a news release.
The seized items were subsequently examined, resulting in the discovery of images depicting child pornography, police said.
Hess was committed to Lancaster County Prison on $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Feb. 24.
