Robber held up Kmart store

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating a robbery at a suburban Harrisburg Kmart.

Lower Paxton Township police said the bandit approached a teller at the Jonestown Road store Thursday evening and handed her a note demanding money from her register drawer.

The note claimed the man had a weapon, but none was shown, police said.

The cashier handed over the money and the robber exited the store at around 7:35 p.m., police said.

He was described as a heavy set white man in his 40’s, about 5’8″ tall with short gray hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
