Police: Silver Spring crash led to marijuana bust

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Harrisburg man was arrested on drug charges after police said a traffic accident led to the discovery of his secret stash.

Silver Spring Township police said David Henry was found to be under the influence of marijuana following the non-injury crash early Sunday at the intersection of Hogestown Road and Woods Drive.

Authorities said they searched Henry’s vehicle and found marijuana, then towed the car back to the police station and found 77 bags of marijuana packaged for sale inside a hidden compartment.

The marijuana weighed in at approximately six ounces, police said.

Henry will be charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, and duties at stop signs.
