WEST YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have filed charges against two people who allegedly stole and forged checks to buy heroin.
Jesse Hartmann, 35, and Rebecca Haagen, 26, went into an apartment in the 1200 block of West Market Street and stole prescription pills and two personal checks, which Haagen signed and Hartmann cashed, police said.
The checks had a total value of $700.
Haagen and Hartmann told officers they split the money and used it to buy heroin, police said.
Each was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit theft, conspiracy to receiving stolen property and conspiracy to forgery. Hartmann was also charged with forgery.
