HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Philadelphia television station is reporting that Pennsylvania Treasurer Rob McCord, who announced Thursday that he is leaving his post, is under federal investigation.
WPVI said it learned from sources that the probe is looking into the alleged theft of campaign and other funds.
McCord has been in office for six years.
In his resignation letter to Governor Tom Wolf, he said his goals at Treasury have been achieved and he wants to return to the private sector.
His resignation is effective Feb. 12.
