HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania treasurer Rob McCord says he’s leaving his post.
In his resignation letter to Governor Tom Wolf, McCord said it was been “the privilege of a lifetime” to serve the citizens of Pennsylvania for the past six years.
“But with my goals at Treasury now achieved, and with a new governor now in office to appoint my successor, it is time for me to return to the private sector,” McCord wrote.
The letter was released by McCord.
He said he intends to step down from his position, effective Feb. 12.
