Man found guilty in shooting of Carlisle teen

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A jury in Cumberland County has returned a guilty verdict for a man accused in a shooting that injured a 16-year-old girl in Carlisle last year.

Robert Stephone Gilmore, 20, was convicted Thursday on 10 counts including attempted homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering, according to court documents.

His sentencing is scheduled March 10.

Authorities said Gilmore and another man on Feb. 13 fired multiple shots in the first block of West Pomfret Street, including one that struck the teenager in the head.

The teen, who was not the intended target, was released from a hospital later that month.

Another person was grazed by a bullet in the arm, but was not seriously injured.

The second shooter has not been identified.
