LEMOYNE, Pa. (WHTM) – A Cumberland County woman was arrested after police said a 10-month-old girl was diagnosed with a drug overdose after being in her care.

Wendi Julianne Gibson-Reeves, 52, of Hampden Township, was charged Friday with endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering a child, according to West Shore Regional police.

The charges stem from an incident in August when Gibson-Reeves was babysitting the girl in Lemoyne. Police said the infant was rushed to an emergency room and diagnosed with an opiate overdose after being in her care.

Gibson-Reeves was processed at the Cumberland County Prison and criminal charges will be filed at the office of District Judge Elizabeth Beckley.

A copy of the criminal complaint was not available Friday.
