Thrifty Thursday: Boot Socks!

Boots are very practical and fashionable during cool months and so are boots socks. However, at more than $20 a pair in most stores, they can be pricey! Sarah Mock with HowIPinchAPenny.com joined Good Day PA for “Thrifty Thursday” with her incredibly easy way to make your own boots socks.

Here’s how to do it:

Materials
Up cycled long sleeve sweater (found in your closet or a thrift shop)
Scissors
Fray Block
Sewing machine (optional)
Thread

Embellishments (optional)
1 yard lace
Buttons

No Sew Option
Use Fray Block to keep the edges from unraveling.

Sewing option
Use a zig-zag stitch to keep the edges from unraveling. Be sure to stretch the fabric as you go to ensure the fabric still has stretch.

Sarah estimates the cost per pair at $0-$6.
