Vandals target cars, church in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A church door was smashed and at least four cars were spray painted during a vandalism spree in Harrisburg overnight.

The vandal or vandals threw a brick through the glass door of the Grace United Methodist Church at 216 State Street, and four cars were tagged with white paint on Green Street between Briggs and Forster.

Spray paint was also found on homes along Briggs Street in a nearby alley.

“We believe in our neighborhood that as long as you have respect for each other, you don’t have to go around doing this kind of nonsense that’s on our buildings and stuff,” Joel Turley said. “It just makes our neighborhood look terrible.”

A damage estimate is not immediately available.
