Lancaster man critically injured in hit-and-run crash

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A 68-year-old Lancaster man was critically injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night, according to city police.

Investigators said the man was crossing West Lemon Street in the crosswalk at the intersection of North Mary Street when he was hit by a light colored Saturn coupe or sedan shortly after 8 p.m.

The driver of the Saturn fled the scene and was last seen heading west on Lemon Street. The car has damage to the front end, police said.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He was listed in critical condition.

His name was not released.
