Police: Employee stole $4K from Rite Aid

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Carlisle woman was arrested after police said she stole money from the Rite Aid store where she was employed.

Melissa May, 35, created false returns and pocketed the money, according to Silver Spring Township police.

She also stole cigarettes from the store, police said.

Rite Aid reported a loss of around $4,000 throughout the past months.

May was charged with theft by deception and retail theft.
