Corbett signs execution warrant in York County murder case

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Governor Tom Corbett has signed an execution warrant for a man convicted of murder in York County.

Kevin Mattison is scheduled to die by lethal injection on March 12.

Mattison was convicted of first-degree murder for the shooting death of Christian Agosto during a robbery on Dec. 9, 2008.

Corbett signed execution warrants Tuesday for four other men.

Terrance Williams was convicted in Philadelphia County of first-degree murder for the beating death of Amos Norwood during a robbery on June 11, 1984. His execution is scheduled March 4.

Kenneth Hairston was convicted in Allegheny County of two counts of first-degree murder for beating to death with a sledgehammer his wife Katherine, and their teenage autistic son Sean, on June 11, 2001. His execution is scheduled March 5.

Alfonso Sanchez was convicted in Bucks County of two counts of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of Lisa Diaz and Mendez Thomas on October 16, 2007. His execution is scheduled March 10.

Robert Diamond was convicted in Bucks County of two counts of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of Angel Guadalupe and Reginald Woodson August 1, 2008. His execution is scheduled March 11.
