2 arrested for knifepoint robbery in Carlisle

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Two Carlisle men were arrested for a knifepoint robbery in the borough early Thursday, according to police.

Eric Airesman, 29, and Ronald Airesman, 30, allegedly demanded the victim empty his pockets, then punched him in the face, knocked him to the ground and kicked him multiple times before fleeing, police said in a news release.

The incident occurred at the intersection of East Locust Avenue and North East Street at around 1:20 a.m.

Responding officers stopped a van attempting to leave the area and made contact with the pair, who were positively identified by the victim, police said.

Each was charged with three counts of robbery, two counts of simple assault and one count of theft by unlawful taking.

Bail at Cumberland County Prison was set at $125,000 for each.
