TV thief used fake $20s at Hanover Walmart

HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating two incidents where counterfeit $20 bills were used to buy televisions at Walmart stores in central Pennsylvania.

West Manheim Township police said one of the incidents happened Dec. 30 at the South Hanover Walmart, at 1881 Baltimore Pike, where the thief drove off in a green Dodge Neon.

Investigators released surveillance photos Wednesday so that someone may recognize the suspect.

Anyone who can identify him is asked to call West Manheim police at 717-632-7059.

A second incident was reported at the Camp Hill Walmart.

In that case, Lower Allen Township police said $820 in fake $20 bills were used to buy a TV at around 5:44 p.m. Monday.
