I-83 South near York reopens after truck removal

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Interstate 83 southbound was closed for more than three hours in the York area this morning while workers removed a tractor-trailer that crashed during Tuesday’s snow storm.

I-83 South was closed at Exit 21 beginning at 9 a.m. and reopened at 12:30 p.m.

Southbound traffic was detoured by way of eastbound Route 30 to southbound North Hills Road (State Route 2003) to Market Street (Route 462) and back onto southbound I-83 at Exit 19 (Route 462).

The truck’s cargo was removed yesterday.
