Driver sought in I-81 road rage incident

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are looking for a driver who damaged a woman’s vehicle during an apparent road rage incident on Interstate 81 in Franklin County.

The woman told troopers the driver swerved between the southbound lanes so that she could not pass, then stopped diagonally as they approached mile marker 17.5 in Greene Township.

The unknown driver then got out of her car with a blue metal baseball bat and struck the driver’s side mirror and window of the victim’s car before fleeing south on the interstate, according to state police in Chambersburg.

The incident occurred Jan. 2 at around 4:12 p.m.

The suspect was described as a woman with black hair to the middle of her back, about 5’2″ tall and 120 pounds.

The 47-year-old victim and her juvenile passenger were not injured.
