HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Dauphin County commissioners are granting a grace period for people who didn’t pay their property taxes last year.
The commissioners approved the grace period this morning.
Next month, 11,000 Dauphin County property owners will get a letter that spells out how much they owe in 2014 property taxes. They will have until the end of March to pay it back without interest.
Last year, 16 percent of delinquent taxpayers took advantage of the program and the county collected $4 million during the grace period.
This is the program’s eighth year.
