Police ID woman, 78, killed in Londonderry Township house fire

LONDONDERRY TWP., Pa. (WHTM) – Police have identified a woman killed in a house fire Saturday in Londonderry Township.

78-year-old Sara I. Forney was identified as the victim of that fatal fire.

It happened around 4 p.m. at a house on the 2500-block of Colebrook Road in Londonderry Township.

According to investigators, the house was fully engulfed when units arrived on scene. Crews from several Dauphin County fire departments responded as well as State Police and the American Red Cross.

Officials say the Forney and her daughter lived inside the home, which sits next to Grace Chapel Worldwide Outreach.

Police are waiting until Sunday to release the identity of the victim. Officials would not say if her daughter was home at the time of the fire.

The fire was declared accidental. Damage to the residence is estimated at $150, 000.
