7 families displaced by Myerstown fire

MYERSTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – The American Red Cross is assisting 12 adults and nine children who were displaced by a fire early Friday in a Myerstown apartment building.

Seven families lived in the building in the first block of Railroad Street.

The Red Cross assisted them with food, clothing and shelter and will follow-up to determine any additional disaster needs.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
