Police investigate Harrisburg’s 17th murder of year

Police are investigating an overnight homicide in Harrisburg.

This is the city’s 17th murder of the year, the second this month. Investigators say around 11:40 Monday night, they received a call for shots fired with a man down. When they got there, officers found a man face down on the sidewalk outside Ann’s Market.

Medical crews pronounced the victim dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Detectives spent the morning photographing the scene and interviewing witnesses to figure out what exactly happened. Police have not yet released the identify of the victim. There’s also no word on a possible suspect or a motive.
