Former youth pastor sentenced for sexually abusing minors

A former Dauphin County youth pastor will spend at least a dozen years behind bars for sexually abusing children.

Police say Joshua Markelwitz sexually abused a 12-year-old girl from his Lower Paxton Township church for three years and also sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl.

He’s sentenced to 12 to 24 years in prison and is classified as a sexually violent predator.
