Police: Cashier walked out with restaurant money

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Newville woman is facing charges after police said she stole more than $950 from her employer’s cash register.

Shannon Lee Schock, 23 was employed as a cashier at a Silver Spring Township restaurant when partway through her shift on Oct. 26 she walked out with the money, according to police.

Schock left the restaurant without notifying her employer, failed to return to work, and refused to return phone calls to her former employer, police said.

She was charged Wednesday with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
