LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster man has been arrested for a pair of armed robberies in the city.
Andrew David Westry, 21, is accused of robbing the Getty Mart at 518 Greenfield Road on Oct. 29 and the Family Dollar at 923 S. Duke Street on Nov. 28, according to a police news release.
At the Getty Mart, police said he pointed a handgun at the victim and followed him around the counter to the register, where he removed an undisclosed amount of cash.
At the Family Dollar, he allegedly pulled a gun while several customers and employees were in the store and demanded money from the register, police said.
Westry was connected to the robberies following his arrest in a Dec. 15 incident where gunshots were fired in the 500 block of N. Shippen Street.
He was charged with two counts of robbery, one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, firearms not to be carried without a license, and public drunkenness.
