3 home burglaries reported in Jackson Township neighborhood

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police in York County are investigating three home burglaries this month in a Jackson Township neighborhood.

Northern York County Regional police said a resident of the first block of Alpine Drive reported that two purses were stolen from her home in the early hours of Dec. 8.

She told investigators that she left the purses in the kitchen area when she went to bed, heard her dogs barking around 1 a.m., and found the purses gone in the morning.

It is unknown how the thief entered the home, police said.

The second burglary was reported Monday in the 1200 block of Summit Run Court, where someone entered a home and took four wrist watches.

On Tuesday, police said a resident of the 100 block of North Alpine Drive reported that they heard someone walking downstairs. They said that person possibly fled when confronted by their dogs.

Nothing was taken from the residence.

Anyone with information may call Northern York County Regional police at 717-292-3647.
