2 arrested in Lebanon shooting, robbery

LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – Two Lebanon teenagers have been arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred during a home invasion robbery last week.

City police said 18-year-old Michael Bermudez turned himself in to authorities Friday and 17-year-old Ronald Calderon was taken into custody following a foot pursuit Sunday.

Both were being sought on charges of aggravated assault, robbery and criminal conspiracy in connection with a shooting Wednesday night at the Brookside Apartments.

Calderon has been charged as an adult.

The two allegedly knocked on the door of an apartment and forced their way inside once the door was opened. They then tried to rob an 18-year-old man, and one of them shot the victim in the shoulder area, police said.

The victim’s injuries were not life threatening.

Police said they believe the victim was specifically targeted and the incident was not a random crime.
