Dozens of patients at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital got a chance to pass along their wishes directly to Santa through the web, thanks to the hospital’s Child Life Program and Cisco Systems.
Children got a chance to connect with Santa directly via a video monitor and web-enabled camera.
Employees like John Cosgrove normally don’t get a chance to interact with patients, but is able to take the iPads to their rooms, so they can speak with Santa. “I look forward to this every year, to see the population I work for,” said Cosgrove, “And it gives me good feedback on what I am doing.”
The hospital holds this event every year giving nearly 60 children an opportunity to speak with “Cyber” Santa.
