LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) – A southern Pennsylvania duck hunter is searching for the person who he believes stole 110 of his decoys, including some that he’d been using since he was five years old.
Matt Kneisley filed a police report and valued the decoy rigs stolen on Thanksgiving eve at about $8,500.
Kneisley told LNP (http://bit.ly/1zMypT2 ) he typically leaves the decoys on the Susquehanna River for the entire hunting season, and hunts a couple hours nearly every day.
The 43-year-old says he’s never had a decoy stolen. Each had 20 feet of cord and a 6-pound lead weight attached. He doesn’t believe they washed away since 10 were still there.
The missing decoys include custom and commercial duck species made of cork, wood and plastic, and wood and plastic Canada geese.
