Since her arrest last Tuesday, Sandra Reid made her first comments to a reporter with Pennlive. Reid uttered, “Hands up, don’t shoot,” according to the article. Reid denied commenting further.
Reid’s attorney, Lenora Smith, told abc27’s Dave Marcheskie over the phone, “My client and I are waiting until the District Attorney makes a determination on the charge before further comment.”
On Monday, Harrisburg Police said Reid was arrested last Tuesday at a gas station at 15th Street and State Street for “obstruction of justice.” Police did not provide details, other than to say Reid “interjected herself” with an officer making an arrest.
A man, not identified, was arrested for assault and terroristic threats. According to a source close to this investigation, the man has no prior relationship to Reid. The source also said authorities are reviewing police dash camera video surrounding the situation.
Since the charge has not been filed with District Magistrate Marsha Stewart’s office, there are no public court documents available, including an affidavit of probable cause.
Gas station workers said they are not allowed to comment on what took place.
