A Dauphin County man was arrested after police said he fired several gunshots Friday afternoon in a Swatara Township neighborhood.
Gregory Scott Jones, 44, told officers that he and a friend were testing guns by shooting rounds into a dirt embankment in the 4200 block of Derry Street, police said in a news release.
Police responded to the area after several reports of gunfire and closed Derry Street as a safety precaution.
They said Jones had three firearms that were seized by officers.
He was taken into custody for persons not to possess firearms, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.
No one was injured.
