It appears as though York county has lady luck on its side. Two more people won a significant amount of money in the lottery this week.
“People here are crazy about the lottery,” said Zak Khan, a manager at the Sunoco gas station on West Market Street in West Manchester Township.
Khan sold one of two Cash 5 tickets that split a $600,000 prize in Tuesday’s drawing to one of his regulars.
The other winning ticket was sold just a few miles away at the Rutter’s on Mt. Zion Road in Springettsbury Township.
This marks the third significant lottery win for York County in a week. Last week, a group of co-workers won $2 million playing Powerball.
The recent success has people in the county feeling lucky.
“Lightning will strike again, yes,” said Joe Blackwell of York. “People will buy because somebody won around the corner from them or in their town, and there is always that dream of hitting the lottery.”
