A York man was arrested for attempted homicide after he stabbed a co-worker Thursday at a York County business.
Edgar J. Farrell III, 21, used a six-inch chrome shank to stab the victim more than six times at the Church & Dwight plant in Jackson Township, according to Northern York County Regional police.
The victim, a 25-year-old York man, sustained stab wounds to his back and torso, his throat, and his face and scalp.
He was transported to York Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was conscious and alert at the scene and is expected to survive, police said.
Farrell was detained by other employees and arrested at the plant on Commerce Drive.
He also faces charges of aggravated assault and simple assault.
