Two bridges in York will be temporarily closed for repairs this month.
The bridge on North Beaver Street over the Codorus Creek will be closed for about a week beginning Oct. 20, according to a news release from York County Commissioners.
The concrete deck will be repaired and some minor chipping to a bridge beam will be patched.
Once that work is completed, crews will begin repairs to the bridge on South Penn Street over the Codorus Creek.
The second job will also take about a week and includes repairs to the concrete deck.
Both bridges are owned by the county and average about 4,000 vehicles a day.
Commissioners said the repair projects will be funded by the county’s liquid fuel funds.
