A Maryland man accused of a bank robbery near Hanover has been charged with a second bank heist in York County.
Springettsbury Township police said they charged 39-year-old Wayne Lee Brennan of Fort Howard in connection with a Sept. 16 holdup at the PNC Bank at 2430 E. Market Street.
Brennan was arrested by Baltimore County police the next day following a lengthy pursuit in which he allegedly rammed two police cruisers.
Police in Baltimore County had been looking for Brennan because he was wanted for a June 27 robbery at the Santander Bank in the 1700 block of Baltimore Pike in West Manheim Township.
Brennan refused to speak with investigators, but authorities said they found evidence linking him to three bank robberies in Pennsylvania during a search of his home and vehicle.
He has been charged with robbery, theft and receiving stolen property in both heists and is being held in a Maryland jail.
