A Lewisberry man has been found guilty of indecently touching a 2-year-old girl while she was with her mother in a York County store.
Robert R. Alfrey, 71, was convicted Thursday on two counts of indecent assault and one count of corruption of minors.
Alfrey was arrested July 9, 2013 after police said he twice fondled the girl as she sat in a shopping cart at the Etters Walmart and while her mother was at a video rental kiosk just a few feet away.
Authorities said store security cameras recorded the assault, which was stopped by a customer, and showed Alfrey following the child around the store.
Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 29, following an evaluation to determine whether Alfrey should have to register as a sexual offender under Megan’s Law.
