Mechanicsburg man held for court in attempted child sexual assault

A Mechanicsburg man has been held for court in an alleged attempted sexual assault of a juvenile girl.

A district judge on Monday found enough evidence against 42-year-old William “Frankie” Holmes Jr. to send all charges against him to Cumberland County court.

Upper Allen Township police said in May 2014, when Holmes lived in Cumberland Pointe Circle, he exposed himself to the girl and propositioned her to have sexual relations with him.

Holmes was charged last month with criminal solicitation of statutory sexual assault, indecent exposure and corruption of minors.

He is incarcerated in the state prison at Huntingdon on unrelated charges.
