Second suspect surrenders in York homicide

York City Police say the second suspect of a fatal shooting has surrendered.

Around noon Thursday, police say Daequahn Jones turned himself in and was taken into custody. The 20-year-old was taken to York County Judicial Center for processing and arraignment.

He was the second suspect in a fatal shooting in York two weeks ago.

Police say the other suspect, Troyvon D. Breeland, 20, of York, was arrested Wednesday in the 100 block of South Queen Street and committed to York County Prison without bail.

Both have been charged with criminal homicide and conspiracy to commit homicide in the death of Nagus Griggs on Sept. 8.

Griggs, 18, was shot in the head while in the passenger seat of a vehicle in the the area of Princess and Charles streets. He died at a hospital.
