PennDOT closes York County bridge

PennDOT has closed the bridge that carries Iron Stone Hill Road over Inners Creek between the boroughs of Dallastown and Loganville.

The closure came Thursday following an inspection, according to a PennDOT news release.

PennDOT spokesman Mike Crochunis said the bridge will remain closed until it can be replaced.

Until then, drivers should use a detour which follows Church Street, Susquehanna Trail and Route 214.

Crochunis said a project to replace the Iron Stone Hill Road bridge is currently under design with construction scheduled for 2017, if not sooner.
