A Harrisburg man was charged for several robberies in Swatara Township after another heist Wednesday night.
Davon Jones, 21, was arrested about an hour after he robbed Santo’s Pizza at 3106 Parkview Lane, township police said.
Employees told officers that a robber pulled a handgun with a scope from a blue bag and demanded cash from the register around 8:30 p.m.
Police said they searched the surrounding area and found Jones, who was wearing clothing fitting the description provided by Santo’s employees and was in possession of a .44 caliber revolver with a scope.
The gun had been stolen in a prior incident in Lancaster County.
Jones later admitted he used the handgun to commit three similar robberies in Swatara Township within the past week, police said.
Swatara police previously reported that a handgun with a scope was used to rob the Turkey Hill at 2885 Paxton Street early Tuesday, and a cab driver was robbed at gunpoint in the 3200 block of Sycamore Street late Monday.
Jones was charged with four counts of robbery, one count of receiving stolen property and four counts of carrying a firearm without a license.
His bail at Dauphin County Prison was set at $750,000 cash. A preliminary hearing was scheduled Oct. 8.
Court records show Jones has also been charged in connection with two robberies in Harrisburg.
