Gun store president charged with theft

The president of a Lancaster County gun store was charged with a felony count of theft by deception after police said he failed to compensate a customer for firearms sold on consignment.

East Hempfield Township police said they filed the charge Thursday against 37-year-old John P. Radzik.

Police identified Radzik as the president of Gun Dealer Online, LLC, which operated at 823 Rohrerstown Road before the location closed July 1.

Beginning in November 2013, the customer provided Radzik with more than 45 firearms to be sold on consignment. Radzik allegedly sold a number of the firearms and failed to compensate the customer, police said.

He was released after posting $10,000 cash bail.

Authorities said an investigation into possible additional victims is continuing.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call East Hempfield police at 717-898-3103.
