Elderly man bound, robbed in East Pennsboro home

An elderly man told police he was bound and robbed by an intruder who barged into his Cumberland County home.

East Pennsboro Township police said the robber reportedly stole money including a change container, jewelry and the victim’s vehicle from the first block of West Glenwood Drive around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

The victim told police that he was answering a knock at the door when the stranger pushed his way inside.

He was able to free himself and call 911. Police said he was checked by medical personnel and received only a minor injury.

His vehicle was recovered about two hours later in Harrisburg.

He described the robber as a white male, about 6’0″ to 6’2″ tall, between 30 and 40 years of age, with a medium to muscular build and short hair.
