A York man arrested shortly after he robbed a Shrewsbury bank confessed to two other bank heists in York County, police said.
Saad Adda, 45, was taken into custody on Interstate 83 after he allegedly robbed the M&T Bank on East Forrest Avenue Tuesday morning, according to Southern Regional police.
Adda allegedly handed a teller a note demanding money and fled in a tan Jeep that troopers stopped on I-83 North between Loganville and Leaders Heights.
Money taken during the robbery was found in the Jeep, police said.
Adda was interviewed and confessed to the crime as well as two bank robberies in Newberry Township, police said.
The Santander Bank at 36 Robinhood Drive in Etters was robbed July 19 and the Members First Federal Credit Union at 350 Newberry Commons Drive was robbed August 9.
Southern regional police charged Adda with robbery, theft and receiving stolen property.
He was committed to York County Prison on $150,000 bail.
Charges in the other bank robberies are pending.
