A 9-year-old girl has prompted Harrisburg city officials to take action when it comes to potholes in her neighborhood.

Janice Baldwin used bricks and dirt to fill potholes near 16th and Chestnut Streets in Harrisburg.

After news of Janice’s efforts spread, city crews began repairs on several potholes in that area.

The public works director said they are fixing potholes when they can, but added Harrisburg’s pockets aren’t as deep as its potholes.
