A Hershey man was arrested after police say he made sexual advances toward a 14-year-old girl and then pulled a knife on her guardian when she confronted him about it.
Ivan Juarez Garcia, 23, was arrested Thursday on charges including attempted rape, attempted statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor and simple assault, according to Derry Township police.
Police said Garcia made verbal and physical sexual advances towards the girl, who reported the incident to her guardian.
The woman confronted Garcia at his work, a restaurant in the 100 block of West Chocolate Avenue, and during the ensuing altercation police said he displayed a kitchen knife to the woman and struck her 12-year-old son with a closed fist.
Police were called to the restaurant and took Garcia into custody.
He was additionally charged with possession of cocaine.
Garcia was arraigned and placed in Dauphin County Prison on $500,000 bail, as well as a detainer posted by Department of Homeland Security Immigration & Customs Enforcement.
