Police are looking into whether the same man is responsible for two bank robberies in the Hanover area.

West Manheim Township police said they are investigating similarities between robberies at the Santander Bank on Baltimore Pike in the township June 27 and the PNC Bank on Carlisle Street in the borough Wednesday.

Police said both suspects used demand notes and had similar age and build. Each wore ball caps with archery logos, the first a blue “Lancaster Archery Supply” cap and the second a camouflage “Hoyt” archery cap.

Both wore athletic clothing, white sneakers and sweatpants or T-shirts with white paint spots or bleach-like splatter, police said.

A tongue piercing was visible during the first robbery, and the man fled in a green Ford Explorer.

In Wednesday’s robbery, the man had a brown chin beard and mustache.
