Live-fire exercises to begin Sunday at Fort Indiantown Gap

People living near Fort Indiantown Gap may notice increased noise during an artillery live-fire exercise beginning this weekend.

The exercise using 155-millimeter rounds is scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday.

Live-fire exercises using 105- and 155-millimeter artillery are announced in advance as a courtesy to nearby residents.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire, maneuver military training facility in Pennsylvania.
