Dog breeder pulls proposal for Upper Paxton facility

A Lancaster County dog breeder has withdrawn his proposal to build a commercial breeding farm in Upper Paxton Township, Dauphin County.

David Stoltzfus went before the zoning hearing board three weeks ago to get approval for the facility along Route 25.  Several people who live in that area spoke out against the plan.

The board did not make a decision at that time.

Township supervisors Chairman Ron Hepner said Stoltzfus has pulled his proposal, but added he could resubmit it.
