Local Marine and dog hiking for wounded vets

A local Marine and his dog are taking a hike for the Keystone Wounded Warriors project.

Friday, Marine Lance Corporal Bobby McHugh of Linglestown, and his dog Chopper, are set to leave on a 40-mile hike through the Appalachian Mountains.

McHugh was injured in Afghanistan back in 2009, when an IED struck his unit while they were on foot patrol. Now on the mend, McHugh said it’s his turn to show some support.

“It’s time for me to give back to them…show that we’re still out here and didn’t forget about them,” McHugh said.
