Lancaster police said a man was shot outside a McDonald’s restaurant Thursday evening.
Police said they were called to the restaurant on North Franklin Street around 6:45 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they were unable to locate a victim.
A short time later, police were told a shooting victim had arrived at Lancaster General Hospital in a private vehicle. Police said the victim, a 21-year-old Mountville man, was treated for a gunshot wound to his lower torso. His injuries did not appear to be life threatening, police said.
Police said witnesses told them the shooting occurred in the restaurant’s parking lot and began as a verbal disturbance. They said they’re trying to determine how many people were involved in the disturbance and the nature of the dispute.
Police are reviewing video footage from the restaurant and other cameras in the area.
