Family of I-81 road rage victim raises reward to $12K

A reward offered for information on a deadly road rage incident on Interstate 81 back in January has been increased.

The family of the victim, 28-year-old Timothy Davison of Maine, has increased their reward by offering $12,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person (or people) responsible for Davison’s death.

On Saturday, January 4, police say a pickup truck driver ran Davison off the road on I-81 in the area of Chambersburg, then got out of the truck and shot him several times. Davison later died at York Hospital.

Officials said Davison was driving a silver 2001 Mitsubishi Montero and was heading back to his home state after visiting family in Florida.

Investigators said they are looking for a dark Ford Ranger XLT with recent damage to the front driver’s side, perhaps a silver paint transfer, that was likely driven by a male.

State police are asking anyone who may have drove in the area during the incident and witnessed anything, even if they believe it to be insignificant, please contact the PA Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-4PA-TIPS.

All callers remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward up to $10,000. You can visit PA Crime Stoppers at

Again, Davison’s family has also increased their reward by offering $12,000 for information leading to an arrest and prosecution. Information can be found at or Facebook at “Justice for Asti.”

Authorities are reminding the public that witnesses of road rage incidents should contact 911 with a vehicle description, license plate number and location.

Officials advise against engaging the other driver.
